Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson have reportedly broken off their engagement.

The 22-year-old actress and her 41-year-old on-again, off-again beau ended their engagement last week, a source told People.

Marilyn was spotted out clubbing with friends and a former Playmate of the Year in L.A. this weekend. “They just broke off their engagement, and he needed a night out with friends,” another source told the mag.

Marilyn proposed to Evan on stage in France back in January.

Reunited couple Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood are reportedly engaged.

On Monday, the 41-year-old rocker proposed to Evan, 22, onstage while performing in Paris, according to People.

“It may surprise you just how healthy and loving our relationship is,” Evan told Elle in 2007, adding that she found Marilyn “lovely” and “just amazing”.

This would be the first marriage for Evan and the second for Marilyn, who split with burlesque beauty Dita Von Teese in 2007.

I'm going to refrain from making any comments on this pair since I've voiced my opinion on this subject quite clearly in past posts.

Evan Rachel Wood has rekindled her romance with shock rocker Marilyn Manson, according to UK’s Metal Hammer magazine.

Marilyn told the mag (via Us), “Me being at my best is what I need to be…I think that has really paid off because I’m back with Evan.”

Evan, 22, and Marilyn, 40, broke up around October 2008. Marilyn has since been linked to model Isani Griffith. Evan was seen hanging out with her True Blood co-star Alexander Skarsgard in September 2009.

Evan Rachel Wood dumped live-in boyfriend Marilyn Manson on Oct. 23 after he tried to kick her brother Ira out of their guest house.

“Evan owned the house and didn't want her unemployed sibling living on the street,” a source tells Star. “It was the tipping point. Evan was fed up with how controlling and emotionally abusive Marilyn was.”

Evan, 21, and Marilyn, 39, started dating in December 2006, as his marriage to Dita Von Teese was almost over.

Update: ERW says the reasons for her break-up with Manson are completely false. She tells People that they are "taking some time apart" to concentrate on work.

Whatever way you look at it she still doesn't sound too happy. Something tells me they're headed for a permanent break.

A while back there were rumors that Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen) and Marilyn Manson were dating, now of course I didn't think they were true.

'Cause frankly it's just scary. But it looks like there may have been some truth to the rumor after all. Evan appears in Manson's newest music video (above). All I will say about it is that it's not for the kiddies lol. The whole thing is 8 minutes long I saw it earlier today and have no desire to ever watch it again.

Marilyn Manson just creeps me out, I don't understand his music or his art and frankly I don't want to. Which is why I'm just so baffled as to why Evan is so interested in him. Maybe it's because he's so weird she seems attracted to all things weird, I don't know.

And what is it with Evan and music videos? I think this is her 3rd one. I mean she's a great actress there's really no need for her to do music videos. I guess she's doing it for fun but still. There's no need for her to give into that particular Hollywood trend.

And yeah I admit that the reason I have trouble seeing Evan with Manson is probably because I will always see her as the 15 year old who started out on "Once and Again". Although on second thought 13 and the movies following it kind of shattered that image.

So maybe that's not it. I don't think it's even the age difference (after all there's plenty of that Demi and Ashton for example). It's definitely the general freakishness of Manson. I really don't get why she went from this:

According to this article Evan Rachel Wood (one of my all time fave young Hollywood actresses) has been hanging out with Marilyn Manson.

They have become good friends after he asked her to appear in his first movie and pose for his water colour painting. The rumors are that they might be dating (and that she's the reason for Manson's recent marriage break-up).

Which I honestly hope is nothing but a bogus rumor, because I cannot picture them as a couple. Frankly, I don't want to. As far as I'm aware she's still dating Jamie Bell.

Neither Wood nor Manson have commented on the rumors, so I would say they are most likely false. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, because the alternative is just too disturbing.
