After winning their first three tournaments together – Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston – Hingis and Mirza had a low in Stuttgart two weeks ago, crashing out in the first round. But the No.1-seeded Swiss-Indian duo got back on track in Madrid on Tuesday, breaking serve five times and reeling off the last eight points of the match to beat Janette Husarova and Raluca Olaru in exactly 60 minutes, 6-2, 6-3.
Hingis and Mirza are now a very impressive 15-1 together since first joining forces in March.
