Cartoon animator Joseph Barbera died of natural causes this past Tuesday, he was 95. Joseph was a part of the famous Hanna-Barbera Productions.
He along with William Hanna was responsible for some of the best children's cartoons of our time, among them were characters like "The Flintstones", "The Jetson's", "Tom and Jerry", "Yogi Bear" and "Huckleberry Hound". I grew up watching all of these in fact I still catch them from time to time on the Cartoon Network.
He was a true innovator of animation and he will definitely be missed. I actually long for the Hanna-Barbera days, because that's when cartoons were good and had a lesson and a moral at the end. Unlike the cartoons today which are full of nothing but violence.
