I have to say I was surprised when I read this, but at the same time it makes sense she's in her thirties so it's a good time to start a family.
Plus with those nagging injuries she had all this year it's very unlikely she would have played much longer. I was never really a Davenport fan but I will definitely miss her simply as Martina's greatest rival.
