Roger Federer adds next week's Miami Open to his schedule

Roger Federer announced via Twitter—in his own, special, emoji-crazy way—that he’ll be playing the Miami Open next week. 

The tournament retweeted Federer's tweet and it was later confirmed by Swiss journalist Rene Stauffer. 

Speculation had surfaced that Federer might play the event when he posted pictures of himself playing on a hard court last week. 

The decision should be a boon for attendance for a once-prestigious event that has struggled to match up with the growing BNP Paribas Open.
