Martina Hinigs & Sania Mirza: Most titles since...?

BEIJING, China - They don't want to jinx it, and wins certainly don't come easily, but the facts are that Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza have been putting together one of the great doubles seasons in recent memory together - they've won seven WTA doubles titles together, and this week coming up they'll be going for their eighth of the season at the Premier Mandatory-level China Open in Beijing.

They're the No.1 seeds in the Chinese capital, and they've got a first round bye, but they'll have to be on alert from the start - they play a pair of Grand Slam champions and former No.1s in doubles.

"You see already in Beijing who we have in our first match - you don't want to look again, because there's Errani and Pennetta, who we've played in the semifinals of Grand Slams," Hingis commented.

"They're great players in singles, but they're also great players in doubles."

The two pairs did clash in a Grand Slam semifinal - Hingis and Mirza beat them at the US Open.

"Every week is a new week," Hingis added. "You really have to start from zero each time."

But before looking ahead again, let's take just a quick moment to look back at Hingis and Mirza's accomplishments in 2015 and see how they stack up against other teams from the last decade.
