In six matches since touching down in Asia, Hingis and Mirza are yet to drop a set, maintaining this sequence with an emphatic 6-2, 6-1 semifinal win over the Chan sisters.

Twenty-four hours earlier, the Chans had been equally dominant in swatting aside Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova, but were no match for the WTA's preeminent pairing, lasting just 53 minutes.

Hingis and Mirza made a flying start, prevailing in a 15-shot exchange to break in the very first game. This set the tone for the rest of the contest as the top seeds romped towards their eighth final of the season.

Next charged with the task of stopping the juggernaut is the week's surprise package, Irina-Camelia Begu and Monica Niculescu, who continued their run with a 6-4, 1-6, 10-8 triumph over No.6 seeds Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.

Despite playing together just a handful of times in the past few years, Begu and Niculescu held their nerve during a tense finale, eventually getting over the finishing line on their third match point when Hradecka found the tape with a backhand return.
